The Richmond Road Improvements project continues. Phase 1 construction along the corridor is ongoing. Phase 2 construction is set to begin early this month.

Phase 2 construction includes:

  • Construction of the median islands for the U-turn crossovers and left turn lane to provide U-turn access to side roads.
  • Short term lane closures may occur as needed for the outside lane 9am-4pm.
  • Construction of a new section of US 25 along Aphids Way will be completed in Phases 1 and 2. Aphids way will be closed to traffic during construction and traffic should use Old Richmond Road.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports that they are still on track for completion in the end of September-beginning of October 2026. Find more information, an interactive map, and updates on KYTC’s website: RichmondRoadImprovements.com.
