Reminder: Holiday 2020 Home Decorating Contest!

We are reminding Neighbors of ELNA’s first Holiday Home Decorating Contest! Our wonderful volunteer judges are Michele Ripley, the president of the Commonwealth Fund for KET, and Barry Stumbo, Chief Development Officer at Shaker Village
Anyone owning or renting in the East Lake Neighborhood is eligible (except for members of the Board). Check the map on the Home page to see our boundaries.
Barry Stumbo is the Chief Development Officer at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. Shaker Village, a 501 © 3 non-profit organization consists of 3,000 acres, 34 original 19th century buildings, 37 miles of hiking and equestrian trails, a restaurant, gift shops, a farm with over 100 animals, and is Kentucky’s largest National Historic Landmark.
Michele Ripley, president of the Commonwealth Fund for KET, is the chief development officer for Kentucky Educational Television (KET), the nation’s largest public television network.  Serving 7.3 million home viewers in eight states and every Kentucky school, KET is also the state’s largest classroom, town hall, performance stage, science and history center, nature preserve, travel guide and more.
The East Lake Neighborhood Association is offering a $50 1st Place, and $25 each for 2nd and 3rd place for originality and cheer. Decorations visible through the window add points, but the emphasis will be on the outside appearance.
Judging will be December 20-22. A selection will be announced December 23. Watch this space!
